Where we fit

More than the app layer

One engineering partner across the product, integration, workflow, and data layers.

  1. Build

Patient & clinician productsApps, portals, telehealth, and clinician tools people actually adopt.
  2. Connect

EHR, PMS, devices, labs, payersIntegrations that read and write back, across one or many systems.
  3. Automate

AI agents & healthcare workflowsAgents that complete intake, scheduling, and revenue-cycle work with controls.
  4. Unify

Healthcare data & analyticsNormalized, governed data that apps, reporting, and AI can rely on.

Built for

  • Healthcare providersMulti-site clinics, specialty groups, virtual care

Patients expect one digital experience while each site runs its own systems.

  • HealthTech companiesSaaS, digital health, care platforms

Hospital customers ask for EHR integration, security reviews, and enterprise readiness.

  • MedTechConnected devices, diagnostics, clinical software

Device data has to reach clinicians and records under MDR, FDA, and HL7 / DICOM rules.

AI workflow automation

Build the product. Automate the workflows around it.

AI agents read context from healthcare systems, complete controlled actions, verify outcomes, and escalate exceptions to your staff.

Integration architecture

Your app shouldn't become another disconnected system

The hard part of healthcare integration sits between the protocols: identity, mapping, write-back, and what happens when an API fails.

Multi-site healthcare

One patient experience. Different systems underneath.

Build a shared digital layer across acquired clinics or locations without waiting for every site to migrate to the same system.

  • Each site keeps its EHR or PMS
  • One app, portal, and data layer for the group
  • New sites connect through the same framework

How we implement

From workflow to production

  1. 1Map the workflow

Users, systems, handoffs, and the points where work breaks today.

  2. 2Map the healthcare stack

EHR, PMS, vendor APIs, devices, and what data access is really possible.

  3. 3Design the architecture

Integration, data, AI, permissions, and observability as one design.

  4. 4Validate the riskiest assumption

A vendor API, a workflow, a model, or an interoperability path, proven early.

  5. 5Build and deploy

Production release with monitoring, then iteration on real usage.

How we engage

Typical starting point: a technical discovery and implementation roadmap.

  • New healthcare productProduct strategy, architecture, build, integration, and launch.
  • Existing productAdd integrations, workflows, AI, or new patient and provider features.
  • Complex healthcare environmentTechnical discovery, then architecture and phased implementation.
  • Scale-up supportExtend your engineering team for enterprise healthcare deployments.
Security & AI governance

AI designed for controlled healthcare workflows

HIPAA compliance covers the data. AI governance covers what agents are allowed to do with it.

FAQ

Questions teams ask before they start

Can you add integrations or AI to a product we already have?

Yes. Many engagements start with an existing app or platform: we add EHR or PMS integrations, AI workflows, or new patient and provider features without a rebuild.

Which EHRs and systems do you work with?

Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Oracle Health, NextGen, and specialty and legacy systems, over FHIR, HL7v2, DICOM, vendor APIs, and file-based or on-prem interfaces where APIs fall short.

Our sites run different systems. Do we have to migrate first?

No. A shared integration layer lets you build one patient experience, one data layer, and shared AI workflows on top of different EHRs and PMS platforms, and migrate site by site only where it pays off.

How do you keep AI agents safe in clinical and revenue workflows?

Agents run with role-based access, defined autonomy limits, verification against the source system, human approval or escalation for exceptions, a full audit trail, and production monitoring.

How do you handle compliance and security?

Riseapps is ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified. We design for HIPAA and GDPR from the first sprint, including PHI handling, access control, consent, and audit logging.

How do engagements usually start?

With a technical discovery: we map the workflow, the systems involved, and the riskiest assumption, then agree on an implementation roadmap. You can start with a free 30-minute call with our CTO.

Let's map what needs to work together

Tell us what you're building, which systems it needs to connect to, and which workflows you're trying to improve. We'll help map the implementation path.
